Vision 2010, a concept developed by The National Association of State Units on Aging in 1999, set forth a vision for the comprehensive aging information resource system of the future. Vision 2010 outlined a conceptual framework for a comprehensive integrated infrastructure for consumer centered access to information, with I&R as the foundation of emerging aging and disability resource centers designed to serve a growing and increasingly diverse group of older adults and persons with disabilities.

Designing the Aging Information Resource System of Tomorrow: The Vision 2010 Self-Assessment Guide
A tool to assist State and Area Agencies on Aging and I&R/A providers to effectively assess the current state of their I&R/A system, identifying strengths as well as areas where improvement is possible. Outcomes of the self-assessment can then be used to develop state and local systems improvement plans aimed at achieving 2010 goals.
