23rd National Home & Community Based Services Waiver Conference

The 23rd National Home and Community Based Services Conference is a unique event that will offer exceptional learning and networking opportunities designed to meet the unique training needs of professionals who administer and operate HCBS programs from around the country. The tentative agenda for the conference has been posted. This year, the last day of the conference, October 3rd , will feature joint programming with the 2007 Southwest Conference on Disability. http://cdd.unm.edu/swconf

The National Association of State Units on Aging (NASUA) and the New Mexico Aging and Long Term Services Department have come together to host this exciting event. Participants will hear about federal initiatives, policy directions, and grant programs from a national perspective while also having an opportunity to learn more about best practices from across the country, including New Mexico policy and programs that support older adults and people with disabilities.

Who Should Attend?

This three-day (view tentative schedule and agenda) national conference is designed for a broad range of professionals who administer and operate HCBS programs at the national, state and local levels, including administrators and direct service staff of government, nonprofit, healthcare, and long term care organizations, policymakers, researchers, educators, county public health and social service providers, aging and disabilities service providers, housing experts, and many others.
